QA Automation Lead

SUMMARY

This role will be responsible for implementing an automation approach for a large Covetrus enterprise applications and working with leadership to better define an automation strategy. This individual will work with third party partners as well as work across Covetrus to ensure automation first mentality and high-quality end to end solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for the primary development and execution of testing strategies that span all aspects of the project
  • Coach and mentor other members of the QA automation on best practices
  • Thinks beyond an individual team and coaches' teammates (Software Engineers and Test Engineers) to think of the entire platform, not only what they may be directly working on
  • Design test strategies and approaches that take end user functionality, performance, security, database and technical (API's) considerations into play to ensure a fully tested solution is built and tested
  • Willing to learn new applications and testing enablers which will help in doing testing more efficiently and effectively.
  • Proficient withQA Automation testing tools (Tricentis Tosca) to set up and execute and report on tests
  • Proactively plan for the creation and/or maintenance of test data and environments required for executing test plans and cases for the organization in a microservices and legacy environment
  • Proven ability to manage and influence partners
  • Ability to define and create testing KPI's that can be used within and across teams
  • Ability to assess and clearly communicate risk to decision makers
  • Track defect status, work with developers to reproduce and resolve defects, and execute re-tests and regression testing.
  • Strive to continually improve the consistency, predictability, and efficiency of all product engineering related efforts

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in math / computer science / engineering or science discipline is preferred but not necessary.
  • 5+ years demonstrated experience mentoring a team of Software QA Engineers.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in the field of Quality Engineering and hands on Software QA Test Automation experience Tricentis Tosca
  • Experience working in agile environment is a plus
  • Experience working with onshore and offshore teams
  • Working knowledge of Ready API, Postman, Azure Devops, Jira and performance testing is preferred.

Salary may vary depending on factors such as confirmed job-related skills, experience, and location.

However, the pay range for this position is as follows.

$86,300.00 - $160,300.00
