Assistant/Associate Professor - Director of Didactic Education

Position Description: Development, implementation, delivery and oversight of the didactic phase curriculum and assessment.

Essential Functions:

* Works with the Program Director and Director of Clinical Education to develop and implement a comprehensive, progressive didactic curriculum

* Works with the Program Director and Director of Clinical Education develop and implement horizontal and longitudinal goals and learning objectives within the curriculum to ensure a system of progressive student learning and assessment across the continuum of the program

* Works with the Program Director and Director of Clinical Education to develop a strategy to design, implement and maintain curricular mapping of the didactic phase of the PA curriculum

* Implements and oversees the ongoing delivery and evaluation of the didactic phase of the program

* Development, implementation and oversight of the didactic curriculum and assessment plan for the didactic phase of the program

* Serves as program liaison to the Biomedical Science and Medical School faculty to facilitate integration of biomedical sciences into the didactic curriculum

* Assigns course directors for each course within the didactic curriculum

* Course director or co-director, as assigned

* Classroom instruction and small group facilitation in the PA program in areas of expertise

* Chair, Didactic Education Committee

* Develops and participates in student assessment and evaluation

* Provides student advising

* Contributes to application evaluation, interviews and selection of matriculating students

* Participates in site visits to clinical preceptors, as needed

* Participates in the ongoing program evaluation and accreditation processes

* Scholarly activity in areas of research interest

* Serves on university and School of Medicine committees, as requested

Qualifications:

* PA-C, Master's Degree;

* State Licensure (or license-eligible);

* 3-5 years of experience in PA education
