Position Description: Performs administrative support for the organization, with the bulk of that support being for the Family and Youth Departments.

Primary Duties: 

  • Administrative Support for Family and Youth Departments including paperwork support, record requests, running background studies, billing, preparing reports, paperwork quality assurance, updating youth profiles on website, and other tasks as needed  

  • Collate Quarterly Reports sent out to the Department of Human Services 

  • Manage surveys provided to staff, clients, and other stakeholders 

  • Bulk mailing support 

  • Assist with Life Books 

  • Redact documents  

  • Scan and file documents  

  • Manage incoming and outgoing faxes 

  • Manage electronic signature requests for the agency 

  • Other duties as assigned, within the purview of this role 

 

Desired Characteristics and Experience: 

  • Administrative experience preferred 

  • Attention to detail 

  • Proficient at simultaneously managing several projects with different timelines 

  • Personal commitment to racial equity work. Must recognize the ways that race, gender, sexual orientation, ability/disability, and other identities (historically and presently) intersect and impact whether or not youth and families experience child welfare intervention, and what their experience is once they become involved. Willingness to engage in difficult, respectful conversations for the purpose of strengthening the organization, the child welfare field and interpersonal relationships with colleagues. 

  • Computer skills, including MS Office Suite, AdobePro, and database familiarity are required. Familiarity with Squarespace, WordPress, MailChimp, Facebook/social media are preferable. Competency with basic database management is also a plus 

  • Professional written and verbal communication skills 

  • Experience working in adoption or foster care licensing, or other administrative experience is a bonus for any applicant for this position 

  • High School Diploma and/or GED preferred 

  • BCA and social services background check required 

 

Salary: $47,840-56,160 

As part of our commitment to equitable hiring practices, we offer the highest starting salary based on an applicant’s qualifications that the agency is able to pay.  Therefore, we do not engage in salary negotiations at hiringThere is a 3% pay increase after successful completion of a 6 month probationary period.

Employees are provided with a work laptop, cell phone, and a company credit card. Mileage is reimbursed for travel. All staff receive a budget of $400 yearly for ongoing training and education.
