As a Global Process Business Management Senior Director, you will report directly to the Head of Business Process Management and Client Delivery.

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Aon offices.

What the day will look like

As the Senior Director - Business Process Management - Cash Cycle, you will be responsible for leading colleagues, setting priorities, and ensuring the portfolio of business processes supporting the Shared Operations organization are well designed and transformation initiatives implemented drive efficiency and effectiveness across the organization. You will play a senior-level role focused on managing and optimizing specific business processes on a global scale. The primary responsibility of the Sr. Director, Global Business Process Management is to ensure that the processes under their ownership are efficient, effective, and aligned with the overall organizational goals and strategies. To achieve this, you will work in collaborations across various groups, geographies, and functions to design and document processes, systems, failure modes, risks and controls.

Job Responsibilities:

Leading a broad team of individuals and providing direction, guidance to team members to achieve a common goal. Develop a team strategy, training team members, facilitating team communication, monitoring, and managing team's work, and ensuring all internal controls are operating efficiently and effectively.

Process Design and Improvement
  • Align the process objectives with the overall organizational strategy and goals.
  • Collaborate with key team members, such as senior executives, department heads, and functional leaders, to understand their needs and ensure that the processes support their strategic priorities.
  • Take ownership and accountability for a portfolio of global business processes, which may include areas such as business process support for Risk and Human Capital client service offerings, finance, human resources, and procurement.
  • Design and implement standardized, best-in-class processes that promote operational excellence and drive continuous improvement.
  • Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation or optimization.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting the use of Lean Six Sigma, process optimization methodologies, and other approaches.
  • Encourage innovation and explore new technologies or approaches to enhance process efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead change initiatives related to process improvements or redesigns.
  • Develop organizational change plans, including communication, training, and collaborator engagement strategies, to ensure smooth transition and adoption of new processes.
Governance and Compliance
  • Establish key performance indicators and metrics to measure process performance and effectiveness.
  • Regularly monitor and analyse performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas requiring improvement. Implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop and implement governance frameworks to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor process compliance and identify areas of non-compliance, taking necessary actions to address risks and ensure process integrity.
Stakeholder Management
  • Build strong relationships and collaborate with team members at various levels across the organization to understand their process requirements and gather feedback.
  • Engage with partners to drive process adoption, manage expectations, and communicate process changes or updates.
  • Collaborate with process owners and functional leaders across different departments or business units to ensure process integration and standardization.
  • Share best practices, leverage synergies, and drive a cohesive approach to process management.
Team Leadership
  • Lead and mentor a global team responsible for supporting process management activities, including process analysts, business process owners, or subject matter experts.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to enhance their skills and capabilities.

Implement high impact priorities.

  • Collaborate across the organization to synthesize and develop long-term capabilities, investments, and supporting organizational structure.
  • Align on critical priorities needed to enable near-term transformation initiatives to standardize, centralize and enable automation for business processes to better serve our clients and colleagues.
  • Ensure all processes meet compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop an environment of continuous process improvement.
  • Develop high performing teams.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • 7 plus years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Extensive experience in process management, process improvement, or business process reengineering.
  • Strong knowledge of process design methodologies, such as Lean Six Sigma, BPMN, or similar frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify process gaps and recommend effective solutions.
  • Proven track record of driving process improvement initiatives and achieving measurable results.
  • Strong project management and change management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of industry experience.

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $175,000 to $215,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
