Position Overview:

The Director of Global Coordination will be responsible for looking across the procurement mechanism's stakeholders, effectively identifying and leveraging organizational comparative advantages, relationships, and to strengthen the GHSC project and support activities and objectives. He/she will leverage existing relationships with key stakeholder groups and leaders, as well as build new productive relationships to ensure cohesion. He/she will champion Palladium's communication strategy and lead the communication team to ensure the right messaging is presented to internal and external organizational stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead coordination approaches and strategy across the spectrum of GHSC regional, international and US Stakeholders.
  • Champion the projects communication and outreach strategy throughout the life of the project, and build the capacity of communications and operational team members to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Leverage other funding sources, including government, public and private organizations as well as government to maximize the efficacy of the global procurement initiatives.
  • Support high level project decision making and provide inputs which looks to streamline operational effectiveness by analyzing key project stakeholder strengths and weaknesses and providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide general operation oversight in support of the GHSC leadership team.
  • Foster a positive and transparent working environment across the range of project stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative focused SOP's which increase operational efficacy and mitigate risks.
  • Spearhead thought-leadership efforts by strengthening Palladium's relationships with key global supply chain stakeholders thought building productive working relationships with leaders and influence-shapers as well as media.
  • Ensure operational best practices are adhered to, and support stakeholder outreach and engagement, as well as risk management.
  • Remain informed of regulations and policies of Palladium's donors such as USAID, Global Fund and other relevant GHSC stakeholders.

Position Requirements:

  • Extensive experience collaborating with international stakeholders,
  • Experience interacting with senior donor and foreign government officials,
  • Experience working with a wide array of international and USG health stakeholders such as PEFPAR, PMI, World Bank Group, Global Fund, and others.
  • Proven experience liaising with senior level international stakeholders, government leaders, business leaders etc..and promoting a strong working relationship.
  • Knowledge of the large-scale Global Fund, WHO and the World Bank HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Family Planning programs preferred.
  • Ability to present data and information in a compelling way to difference audiences.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and ability to communicate across technical disciplines and non-technical audience required. Ability to speak and write French a plus.
