We are currently searching for a Plant Administrator to be based out of Thomasville, GA. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this person will be responsible for providing administrative support to each department in the areas of data entry, record keeping and reporting. They will also process information requests, coordinate the monthly safety training program, receive visitors, arrange conference calls and schedule meetings.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of administrative experience. Prior success as an Office Administrator or equivalent position with manufacturing environment experience is a plus.

Additional responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:



  • Preparing reports, memos, letters and other documents as needed
  • Performing general office duties such as ordering supplies
  • Maintaining records management database systems and retention
  • Update records of continuous improvement report
  • Inventory sub ledger responsibility (IC to GL variance report)
  • Transforming raw data into reports
  • Sending paperwork for received purchase orders to the accounts payable department for payment processing
  • Entering data for EH&S related activities (reporting injuries, conducting safety meetings, distributing Monthly Safety topics, month end reporting etc.)
  • Miscellaneous Duties:

    • Answering phone calls and direct calls to appropriate parties or take messages
    • Analyzing incoming mail, memos, submissions and reports to determine their significance and plan their distribution


  • Performing other related duties and projects as assigned.


Qualifications



  • Minimum educational requirement is high school diploma, or equivalent
  • Associates Degree with a Business Administration focus preferred; or 2-3 years administrative experience in a manufacturing setting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Able to complete multiple projects on time and with minimal supervision, which often serve several people and contain conflicting deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Good understanding of basic math required for quick and accurate counting and calculations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization
