MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

All applicants must possess a valid PA teaching certificates in the area of Middle Level Mathematics 7-9, Grades 4-8 w/Math or Mathematics 7-12, knowledge of best instructional practices; excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to use a computer and familiarity with the Microsoft Office Package; excellent interpersonal skills; and an interest in urban education.

Job Summary:  

To create a flexible math middle-level program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth; establish appropriate, effective rapport with students; motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for furthering the student's education, in accordance with each student's ability; establish appropriate, effective relationships with students, parents, community, and other staff members; and to fully implement the curriculum in an effective instructional method.
