Occupational summary:

Customer Source Inspection Coordinatoris responsible for confirming that product and accompanying paperwork meets customer and industry standard requirements. This role within our quality department will represent both NHBB and the customer (Delegated Source Inspector) to approve product prior to shipment.

Experience:



  • Previous Source Inspection experience with Aerospace Customers
  • AS13001 Delegated Product Release Verification Certification preferred



Responsibilities:



  • Assembly Traceability documentation of components
  • Create and review Certification Package
  • Review internal paperwork
  • Visual Inspection of completed packed product
  • First Article Inspection knowledge per AS9102
  • Maintain detailed inspection records using appropriate forms.
  • Communicate with Engineering, Manufacturing & Quality personnel and other disciplines as required in a timely and professional manner.
  • Make recommendations regarding quality and manufacturing improvements as needed
  • Access web-based customer portals for instructions and other necessary tools



Skills and Abilities:



  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and general computer familiarity


  • Read and understand customer drawings, specifications, procedures, standards and instructions.
  • Use of microscope


  • Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and demonstrated initiative with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
  • Extremely strong interpersonal verbal and written communications, especially when dealing with customers.
  • Willingness and ability to train others as needed
  • Attention to detail.



Vision requirements:



  • Near Vision: Minimum requirement shall be Snellen 14/18 (20/25 or better) and Jaeger type 1 at 12 inches or greater; Ortho-Rated 8 or equivalent, in at least one eye, either corrected or uncorrected.
  • Color Vision: Average or normal (4 of 6 responses on Titmus, B+L, or American Optical testing machine or a satisfactory response when checked with an Ishihara or Pseudoisochromatic plate).


Note: Physical job requirements may include standing, walking, use of a microscope, use of hands to assemble and or carry out job functions as well as sitting, lifting, carrying, bending and stooping during the course of the job.
