Software Engineer - AWS - Big Data

Position Summary

The Change Healthcare HealthQx Value Based Payment (VBP) team is searching for qualified individual to fill the role of a Remote DevOps Engineer. This individual will be part of the DevOps team that consists of multi-talented developers, who enjoy the variety, challenges, and learning opportunities that this job offers.

This individual will contribute directly to the development of our HealthQx VBP solution, leveraging cutting-edge AWS and Big Data technologies to solve business challenges faced by the world's largest healthcare systems.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work in an Agile, collaborative environment to deploy, configure and maintain systems which may include software installations, updates and core services
• Pair with development teams to enable a continuous integration environment that sustains high productivity levels and defect prevention techniques
• Design and implement tools for automated deployment and monitoring multiple environments
• Stay abreast of open tasks and help to groom backlogged tasks
• Assist in evaluating innovative technologies that may be helpful to the team

Critical Qualifications (Required):

• Experience with Windows and Linux environments, PowerShell and bash scripts
• Experience with cloud technologies like AWS and Azure
• Basic understanding of programming/scripting and query languages such as SQL
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Great at problem solving; debugging; and designing & implementing solutions to complex technical problems

Additional Skills (Preferred):

• Familiarity with agile methodologies
• Familiarity with GIT and other CI/CD tools
• Familiarity with Java, Scala, Spark

Education: BS in CS or equivalent related experience

Experience: 1 - 3 Years of experience in Operations role
