Job Summary Provides administrative support for Admission & Prospective Student Services to ensure a positive experience for incoming students. Greets and assists visitors to the Admission office; answers general inquiries about admission and enrollment via phone and email. Assists with event planning for signature recruitment programs. Provides scheduling support for booking meetings. Monitors budgets, inventory, purchasing, and records expenditures. Coordinates travel arrangements.
Essential Duties 1. Composes routine correspondence, types memorandums, reports and correspondence; prepares various forms as directed such as purchase requisitions, personnel requisitions, etc. 2. Schedules appointments, makes travel arrangements and maintains the supervisor's calendar. 3. Opens the mail and assembles related material to be answered by the supervisor or department team members; may answer routine correspondence. 4. Greets visitors, answers the telephone and provides information to callers/visitors or routes to appropriate person; places outgoing calls. 5. Compiles and types statistical reports, requisitions and other documents, posting to various office records. 6. Enters and retrieves data on personal computers for the department. 7. Copies correspondence or other printed matter, using photocopier. 8. Maintains filing system; classifies and codes material for filing. 9. Assists with preparation of Project Management reports.
Minimum Qualifications Associate's degree or equivalent education. Degree requirement may be substituted with equivalent work experience. Three years of experience. Excellent secretarial and administrative skills, accurate typing and data entry. Ability to organize daily work procedures and perform duties under one's own initiative with supervisory guidance. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with others. Experience with Microsoft Office 365.
