SR SOFTWARE (SW) ENGINEER: St. Jude Medical in Sylmar, CA seeks qual. SW Engineer. Participate in product SW design reviews to provide input on functional reqs, product design, schedules, or potential problems. Masters or foreign equiv in Comp Sci/Tech, Eng, Math or in closely rltd computational/tech fld of study (Will accept Bachelors in above flds + 5 yrs of progressive pro exp in lieu of Masters) each alt req w/ at least 3 yrs of exp in: (i) creating, maintaining & developing Linux OS Med Device SW in C/C++, Qt Graphics & Java; (ii) multithreading, Inter-Process Comms (IPC), serial comms & network comms; (iii) working on Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA) of fld reported issues & documentation; (iv) med device regulations & industry standards, incl 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, IEC 62304 & 21 CFR Part 11; (v) Agile & Waterfall SW Development Lifecyle (SDLC) environments; (vi) object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design & secure coding principles & guidelines; & (vii) developing & debugging large apps on Linux OS for med devices.
