Senior Software Engineering Manager

Position Summary:

We are looking for Senior Software Engineering Manager Remote to lead the development of Change Healthcare Enterprise DevOps platform (EDOP). This manager would be responsible for a team of onshore/offshore Software Developers and supporting the 24x7 operations. Change Healthcare managers are expected to be both technical and people leaders helping to mentor and grow Engineering staff by providing feedback on coding to observing strong design patterns / architectural principles.

The position will be responsible for continuing to scale the EDOP platform by making continuous improvement and scaling to meet the future Engineering needs. The role will also have budgetary responsibility for all headcount, software, and hardware under their management.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, articulate, have experience managing Software Engineering teams and projects and is comfortable working in a fast-paced software development environment. Your primary mission is working closely with Change Healthcare Engineering organization to deliver World class CI/CD platform for build, release, and deployment automation.

Responsibilities:

* Manage a team of globally distributed Software Engineers supporting Change Healthcare CI/CD platform, a mission critical, platform in production and development environments

* Serve as a technical leader with solid experience in AWS, Gitlab and Terraform

* Owns the architecture, engineering, implementation, 24x7x365 availability and performance of Change Healthcare CI/CD platform

* Partners with internal Business and Technical teams to deliver the expected uptime and performance

* Mentors and lead the CI/CD platform in emerging technologies and responsible for the product and its evolution
* Analyzes and investigate application's Engineering tasks and prepares design specifications, analysis, and recommendations

* Interacts with other application teams define application requirements and/or necessary modifications
* Will also have responsibility for testing and documentation

* Fosters an environment of continuous learning which builds excellent Engineering and Operational skillsets

* Develops the platform's Engineering talent through personal and performance management
* Responsible to selects, develop, and evaluate personnel ensuring the efficient operation of the function
* Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people
* Responsible for the product and its evolution, the project, priorities, and timelines
* Responsible for operational and tactical aspects of the product

Qualifications:

* BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience. MS in Computer Science is preferred

* 7+ years of verifiable software Development / Engineering experience

* 5+ years managing and leading software Engineering teams and application development
* Excellent software engineering skills and building working applications

* Experience with CI/CD pipeline implementation
* Expertise in Python, Go and Shell scripting
* 2+ years of experience in AWSand/or Azure
* Experience with Docker, AWS EKS / ECSand container technologies
* Experience with Linux operating system
* Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible
* Excellent analytical skills
* Strong work ethicand enthusiasm to learn new technologies
* Good team player
