What you'll be doing...

As a Test Analyst with Verizon ICSA Labs, which provides testing and certification for numerous types of security solutions, you will perform security testing of products in multiple technology areas documenting and communicating results to other team members, as well as directly to the customers. Additionally, you will contribute to the improvement of existing as well as the development of new testing methodologies. You will assist the team in research and development of new testing opportunities. The ability to work in a collaborative environment is essential.

  • Configure and test commercial security products for efficacy and performance.
  • Troubleshoot testing issues.
  • Draft test results reports.
  • Develop test methodologies and test tools as assigned.
  • Provide technical support for testing programs management activities

Where you'll be working:

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or one or more years of work experience.
  • Knowledge of open-source software.
  • Knowledge of a variety of UNIX and Windows operating systems.
  • Knowledge of network and information security practices.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking protocols.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree.
  • Experience with IP networking, subnetting, switching, routing, VLANs, and other network technologies, including configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of network and security tools.
  • Knowledge of programming and scripting languages.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and to absorb knowledge quickly.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects on a daily basis.
  • Ability to work on site in the ICSA Labs facilities in Mechanicsburg and Harrisburg Pennsylvania.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, while maintaining confidentiality, a professional image and approach with customers.
