Job Description
Position Summary:

Electrophysiology labs are some of the most advanced spaces in hospitals and allow doctors to do amazing things to fix people's hearts. Stereotaxis manufactures capital medical equipment to be installed in these labs. Our equipment has specific structural, electrical, and mechanical room preparation requirements and is installed as part of a construction project. This position creates room planning models in Revit to demonstrate the room size, patient and personnel flow, equipment orientation and movements, and the various requirements for an architect and contractor to prepare a room. The Site Planning Revit Modeler allows more people to have greater access to this technology which Stereotaxis invented and with which we continue to innovate to help physicians help people.



Essential Responsibilities:

  • Create 2D & 3D planning models in Revit and AutoCAD that accurately reflect the scale and dimensions of the planned installation site and allow others to visualize it.



  • Manage and prioritize the pipeline of installation activity to meet turn-around deadlines.



  • Work from provided AutoCAD and Revit files to generate accurate and appealing models and drawings representing Stereotaxis equipment in an existing or planned space



  • Create or bring in other 3rd party construction elements, furnishings, and equipment into Revit to allow the customer to see and walk through the room virtually prior to construction



Job Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proficiency and experience in Revit required



  • Proficiency with AutoCAD highly preferred



  • Proficient in the use of MS Windows and MS Office highly preferred



  • AS or BS in Mechanical Engineering, Architecture or similar preferred



  • 3+ years' experience with capital medical equipment installations, with specific focus on Cardiac Catheterization rooms desired



  • Experience in the hospital planning environment, either at a medical equipment manufacturer or in an architectural company desired



  • Understanding of building construction techniques, electrical distribution requirements, and structural elements and how they relate to the room preparation requirements desired



  • Some travel to/from customer sites via, car, airplane, etc. may be required



  • Superior customer skills. Must have active listening techniques to develop customer expectations from the room planning phase that translate to the models and drawings produced



  • Ability to create technical documentation to describe equipment requirements in general terms desired. These manuals become sales tools for early discussions with customers



  • Ability to shift focus as project deadlines and requirements change



  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
