Position Description

Does Market research, customer experience, full stack product development, and automation excite you all at once? Do you have a passion for building products that identify patterns in the data, turn them into insights and deliver them timely to inspire action? If you do and you like to collaborate with similar minded people, we have an exciting opportunity for you to lead the digital transformation of an industry leading consumer insights product from Visa that has been a Market leader for decades. We are looking for candidates who are Product development leaders with strategic vision, strong customer insight, and excellent execution capability.

This role is responsible for owning the development of a consumer insights product that will measure consumer behavior, consumer usage of ALL payment methods in a wide variety of merchant categories comprehensively and reliably. The analytics from this product is used to plan, develop, and implement product development, portfolio management and marketing strategies for Visa and its clients globally. As a Director, you will:

  • Create products that are at the intersection of payments, market research, voice of customer and data that can be commercialized globally

  • Set vision, define success with critical metrics, build multiyear roadmaps for products that involve autonomous finance, cash flow management, rewards, loyalty, and optimizing account balances demonstrating best in class customer experiences and full stack product development

  • Manage prioritization of roadmap, features and deliverables while managing triple constraints - scope, time and budget and most importantly all your stakeholders

  • Collaborate with research and marketing on developing go-to-market strategies, refining messaging, and ensuring the product delivers on its promise

  • Partner with Sales and Client Marketing teams to create and deliver end-to-end solutions that address clients' marketing needs, drive business outcomes

This position is open to candidates located in Foster City, CA and San Francisco, CA.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 12 years of work experience with a bachelor's degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters/MBA). Preference for degree in market research, psychology, sociology, Economics/Econometrics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or Engineering.
  • 6-10 years of work experience in building customer facing products preferably involving programming languages, databases, web/app development and APIs
  • 5+ years' experience in product management, with demonstrated experience successfully building and shipping products at scale preferably related with APIs related to money transfer, authentication, security etc.
  • Skilled communicator to both technical and non-technical audiences, and ability to lead cross-functional teams across engineering, design, and go-to-market
  • Ability to influence others and build relationships within an organization, communicate regularly with key individuals and interface with all levels of staff, including senior leadership. Strong business acumen, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Intellectually curious and analytically rigorous. Solution oriented and looking for ways to give added value.
  • Positive approach and commitment to collaboration with shared purpose

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
