Accounting Manager

This dynamic position requires an experienced, hands-on manager. The accounting manager will manage the general ledger which has responsibility for many aspects of the month end close, expense management, commission calculation, accruals, reconciliations, and other finance activities. This role is also responsible for assisting in the preparation of support for our monthly, quarterly & annual financial reporting. This team player will also interface with our external auditors to provide information and support during quarter end reviews and year end audits.

Responsibilities:

* Perform the monthly GL close, including establishing monthly close calendars, processing of journal entries and the preparation of a variety of financial reports and analysis.

* Coordinate, review and approve certain internal financial reports.

* Accomplish functional responsibilities accurately and timely.

* Remain current on new accounting guidance and working with auditors to implement new technical pronouncements and new transactions impacting the financial statements.

* Work closely with department heads to ensure the consistent application of accounting policies and procedures.

* Develop and improve related processes and controls to ensure accurate reporting of monthly and quarterly financial results.

* Drive and manage projects to improve standardization and accelerate close timing.

Essential Functions

* Prepare journal entries, including inter-company activity.

* Complete month close tasks.

* Perform monthly account reconciliations in a variety of areas.

* Maintain supporting documents required for verification of accounting data.

* Prepare various schedules for purposes of supporting consolidation and SEC disclosure.

Abilities & Competencies

* Extremely attentive to detail

* Strong general ledger accounting skills required and experience with preparation of account reconciliations.

* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Word, Outlook & PowerPoint.

* Oracle experience required.

* Strong interpersonal team skills and ability to work well in a team environment

* Must be organized and able to work well under pressure

* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

* CPA and Big 4 accounting experience preferred.

* Sox Compliance experience preferred.

* CPA License

* Previous public tech company experience preferred

* ASC 606 experience preferred.
