About This Role:



The Department of Agronomy seeks a Post-Doc to support the scientific mission of the PI. The individual will conduct research on integrating mycorrhizal symbiosis on the allocation and storage of C belowground, soil aggregation and soil health. The objectives are to determine: 1) the role of mycorrhizal symbiosis on soil aggregation; 2) the impact of mycorrhizal symbiosis on C and N cycling; 3) the overall effect of mycorrhizal symbiosis on soil health. A series of complementary greenhouse and field studies will include experimental manipulations of mycorrhizal fungi, phosphorus on soil C and N cycling use stable isotopic techniques.

What You'll Need to Succeed:



Minimum Qualifications:



  • Ph.D. in soil microbiology, ecology microbiology, or related field, and effective oral and written communication skills required.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience working collaboratively with individuals and team of scientists.
  • Ability to present work at national and international conferences through poster or oral presentations.
  • Experience in soil microbial techniques, statistics, stable isotopes (13C and 15N) and gas chromatography highly desirable.
  • A background in soil chemical analysis is desirable.
