Genetics Counselor - Cancer Genetics

Genetics Counselor

Location: Orange, CA

Schedule: Full Time - 80 Biweekly Hours

Shift: 8-hour, Days

Under the direction of the Department Manager, Director of Operations and Executive Leadership the Genetic Counselor will assess and counsel individuals and families regarding inherited cancer risk and risk management as well as participate in cancer genetics case conferences, community outreach events, medical staff and consumer education, collaborative research projects, program meetings, and program development.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's Degree Genetic Counseling/Clinical Genetics.
• ABGC Board certification AND CA Department of Public Health Genetic Counseling License; OR
• ABGC Board Eligible and Temporary CA Department of Public Health Genetic Counseling license; ABGC Board eligibility refers to gaining Active Candidate Status (ACS).

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years Experience providing genetic counseling and risk assessment.
