Job Description and Requirements

The IP Segment Marketing Manager will work closely with top people across Synopsys to drive our global market strategies, marketing campaigns, and business development activities for the Data Center segment including Servers, Storage, Networking, AI and Multi-die technologies for Synopsys' DesignWare IP portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and evolve a Synopsys IP marketing strategy and business plan for the segment and application areas supported
  • Overall Data Center segments mission, priorities and technology roadmap.
  • Key target customers & partners across the entire cloud application segments
  • Key customer needs
  • Industry landscape and Synopsys differentiation
  • Create & orchestrate outbound marketing campaign(s)
  • Business growth targets
  • Work closely with sales management and Synopsys Business Unit managers to drive, orchestrate and track/report key customer engagements
  • Run an existing cross-functional Data Center segment team
  • Be a key spokesperson for Synopsys on Data Center segments and applications, presenting to customers and at industry conferences
  • Develop and nurture executive relationships with key customers & partners
  • Develop and maintain metrics based on data for your segment and application areas
Qualifications:
  • At least eight years segment marketing experience in a technical domain with established working relationships with semiconductor companies
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry and EDA/IP
  • Familiarity with make vs buy analysis and tradeoffs during IP selection
  • Sufficient technical background to be able to understand communication, Server, Storage, Acceleration Cards and Security solutions customer needs
  • At least five years of cross functional management experience
  • Exceptional business acumen and sufficient understanding of the market segment, applications and technology to be able to drive strategies and develop key messaging
  • Strategic thinker, and able to simultaneously contribute to strategy development, guide teams, and achieve excellent execution
  • Possesses excellent command and communication skills, excellent presentations and content development skills
  • Organizationally savvy and collaborative; comfortable in a matrixed, team orientated environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Must be able to define and manage a successful marketing program 'by influence' to drive customer & product requirements collaboratively with the business units
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required, a graduate degree in engineering or business is desired
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Excel, Pivot tables and relational database knowledge a plus
  • Fluency in other languages like Mandarin is a plus
The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $130,000 to $227,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
