Part-Time Faculty: Kinesiology

Position Summary

This is a part-time, faculty position in the college's Kinesiology/Recreation/Athletics department reporting to the Associate Dean/Athletic Director, Kinesiology, Recreation, & Athletics.

The incumbent Would be responsible for teaching courses in the discipline which could include, but not limited to, Health Education, Introduction to Kinesiology, and a variety of physical education activity courses (Yoga, Spin, Strength and Flexibility, etc.)


Essential Functions and Qualifications

Provide instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines.

Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics.

Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter areas.

Fulfill professional responsibilities of a part-time/temporary faculty member.

Teach all scheduled classes.

Maintain accurate records.

Assignments may include day, evening, weekend, on-line and/or off-campus classes.


Minimum Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicant must meet minimum qualification standards in the discipline of Kinesiology which includes any Masters degree from an accredited institution as follows:

Master's degree in kinesiology, physical education, exercise science, education with an emphasis in physical education, kinesiology, physiology of exercise or adaptive physical education OR bachelor's degree in any of the above
AND
Master's degree in any life science, dance, physiology, health education, recreation administration, or physical therapy OR the equivalent.

Lecture Rate: $57.72 to $77.18 per hour depending upon education and experience

Lab Rate: $50.28 to $67.20 per hour depending upon education and experience

Activity Rate: $37.13 to $50.62 per hour depending upon education and experience
