Job Description

*This role open to qualified candidates throughout the US looking to work remotely

This position reports to the Head of Global Trade. The Trade Finance Product Manager is responsible for improving the trade product offering and differentiating our digital capabilities from our competition. This role is responsible for leading a significant aspect of Trade product plans and roadmaps, end to end management of trade products, related risk and controls and trade product digital transformation in coordination with the broader Product Management team. As a senior member of the team the role will also be a thought leader and evangelist in product management, innovation and customer experience.

This role designs products with a customer centric approach with an emphasis on sourcing the right data to inform product related decision making. Actively tracks and monitors performance of our existing product set and recommends areas to improve returns / reduce operational costs / manage risk. Refines and implements a consistent methodology for product development. Remains abreast of market trends and competitor activity. Engages with stakeholders throughout the organization who support delivery of products (frontline, credit, operations, technology, risk, marketing etc.). Develops informed insights and own perspectives. Is able to form pragmatic solutions and champion recommendations. The ideal candidate will:

  • Possess a strong product management background, be steeped in Design Thinking, Lean UX, and agile delivery methodologies, and have a data-driven approach to decision making.
  • Demonstrate prior experience in developing seamless end-to-end digital and cross-channel Trade Finance product experiences and ideally have exposure to key elements of Trade Finance and Working Capital credit analysis, risk control and portfolio management.
  • Demonstrate an ability to collaborate with developers and data engineers to define the technology infrastructure and data architecture necessary to deliver a breakthrough automation system experience.

What You'll Bring:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative major that requires structured problem solving, or equivalent hands-on work and industry experience
  • 10+ years of Product Management experience, preferably in Banking/Financial Services 3+ years direct knowledge and experience with analytics or automation

Essential Functions

  • Understand the end-to-end value chain that supports delivery of the product and maintain stakeholder relationships with key teams / system owners.
  • Prepare (in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders), product strategies - reviewing opportunities for simplification / product development.
  • Monitor trends in the market, competitor activity, customer and frontline feedback to identify areas of opportunities to improve the offering.
  • Oversee strategic product roadmap, development, launch, and marketing to gain maximum benefit from each product
  • Direct management of a team of professionals
  • Oversee day to day product management for core products with an emphasis on product delivery, client experience, client communication strategies
  • Execute client value propositions, develop pricing models, positioning, segmentation, pricing, targeting, channel strategies and competitive differentiation
  • Manage client and competitor market research, develop product innovation roadmap, and create an advanced set of solutions
  • Contribute to achievement of client acquisition targets, product financial performance, and identification and execution of opportunities and gaps in business plans
  • Partner to formulate technical strategy, evaluate, upgrade, replace or install systems to improve the workflow efficiency and enhance the client experience
