Per Diem Bus Driver

This position is responsible for the transport of students, trustees, etc. in a safe and pleasant manner. This person must be available for call-ins. This position has been evaluated for compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act and is subject to premium pay for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a payroll week.

Requirements:

• High school diploma.
• Prior driver experience preferred.
• NYS Driver's License, CDL-C w/Passenger endorsement required.
• Must also be able to read maps, navigate, and work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Operate vehicles such as vans and the University bus in a safe manner.
• Order parts for shop.
• Clean University vehicles.
• Monitor and maintain passenger safety on bus and University vehicles.
• Maintains a safe working environment within and around their facilities and associated equipment and supplies including, but not limited to, obtaining Safety Data Sheet (SDS) information pertaining to any hazards associated with their work environment.
