Entry Level Plant Operator

Job Summary:

The Plant Operator position consists of performing several job functions. These functions range from maintaining facility housekeeping to providing escort services for facility visitors. This position may require a rotating shift schedule. However, additional shifts may be available and discussed during the interview with Plant Manager

Essential Responsibilities:

  Provides housekeeping service to essential areas of the facility.

  
  
• 
  

  Assists the Lead Operator or A Operator in monitoring process equipment and making necessary adjustments, as directed, to maintain process parameters as specified within Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  
  
• 
  

  Performs analysis on select samples to maintain process and finished product specifications.

  
  
• 
  

  Assisting Maintenance with plant-specific monitored repairs.

  
  

Required Skills/Abilities:

• 
  

  Must have reliable transportation to/from work.

  
  
• 
  

  Must be able to pass a 10 panel controlled substance testing and random testing after that.

  
  
• 
  

  Must be able to pass a background investigation check and maintain in good standing order, as per TSA's TWIC criteria.

  
  

Education and Experience:

• 
  

  High school or GED preferred or 1-year experience working in a chemical manufacturing facility preferred.

  
  

Physical Requirements:

• 
  

  Frequently climbs stairs and ladders.

  
  

• 
  

  Frequently bends, stands, and lifts up to 40 lbs.

  
  
• 
  

  Must be able to work outdoors in different climate conditions.

  
  
• 
  

  Must be able to walk on secure elevated process platforms in excess of 15-foot heights.

  
  
• 
  

  Must be medically qualified, meaning the employee must submit to an annual physical which may include a drug screening.
