Construction Project Engineer

Overview:

Our client, an industry-leading commercial construction company, is seeking a Project Engineer to assist with planning, maintaining, and executing of various aspects of ongoing large commercial projects. This is a long-term, direct-hire role with our client located in the Eugene Metro area.

Responsibilities:

• Project estimating, scheduling, and assistance in maintaining the project timetable
• Work with a team to prepare the scope of instructions, requirements, and bid packages.
• Expedite, review and approve drawings, submittals, and requirements for tasks
• Work with subcontractors to obtain quotes.
• Assist in maintaining the project files and documents at completion
• Work closely with Architect to expedite the project in an efficient manner
• Maintaining project records and documenting changes
• Build and maintain client relationships and work collaboratively with a large team

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field or equivalent years of experience required
• 1+ years of general commercial construction experience, preferably on large commercial projects, required
• Proficiency in programs such as Revit and Bluebeam
• Experience with MEP systems and complex structures is a plus
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and experience working with staff on all levels
• Excellent judgment and an accurate understanding of issues
• Excels in advanced thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
