Should review of your qualifications result in a decision to pursue your candidacy, you will be contacted. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Summary: The Learning Center routinely hires qualified tutors to support a variety of subject areas. We are currently seeking additional staff to support areas such as Office Administration, Business Administration, Business Management, Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, and Criminal Justice. Provide assistance to NCC students in one-on-one and small group settings. Tutors are learning advocates for tutees. As such, tutors should comprehend and evaluate the individual learning needs of tutees, and then suggest appropriate strategies for meeting those needs. Tutors will report appropriately to their Coordinator(s) and the Director of the Learning Center on the daily operations of tutoring; attend College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) training and workshops as required; attend additional workshops as needed; complete all paperwork appropriate to the position; distribute evaluations to students as needed; respond promptly to emails and phone calls from the Learning Center staff and complete additional responsibilities at the discretion of the Coordinators and/or the Director. Qualifications: Associate's degree or higher in discipline or related field from a regionally accredited Institution required. Experience as a peer or professional tutor preferred. Special Instructions: The number of tutors hired varies from semester to semester, depending upon the needs of the department and the College.
