Position Summary

Allan Hancock College is accepting applications for part-time instructors to teach one or two sections of ECON 101 - Principles of Macro-Economics at the Santa Yvez Valley High School in the evening from 6:00 - 9:05 pm for the fall 2023 semester. Future classes may be taught at the Santa Maria campus or the Lompoc Valley Center, and could be a day or evening classes.

In its desire to select outstanding faculty members from the largest possible pool of qualified applicants, Allan Hancock College recognizes candidates may have attained expertise in a discipline through a variety of means. Certain combinations of education, experience, and other accomplishments in the field may be judged by the district as equal to the stated minimum qualifications for this position. Candidates who feel they possess such equivalent qualifications are encouraged to complete the equivalency form and provide appropriate documentation of their qualifications.


Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Master's degree in economics
OR
Bachelor's in economics
AND
Master's in business, business administration, business management, business education, finance, or political science
OR
the equivalent per Board Policy 7211.

Lecture Rate: $57.72 to $77.18 per hour depending upon education and experience

Lab Rate: $50.28 to $67.20 per hour depending upon education and experience

Activity Rate: $37.13 to $50.62 per hour depending upon education and experience
