Lawrence Berkeley National Lab's (LBNL) Physics Division has an opening for a Postdoctoral Fellow to join the team. In this exciting role, you will work in the Flavor Group on the Mu2e experiment. Mu2e will search for Charged Lepton Flavor and Lepton Number Violation using atomic-captured muons produced at the FNAL muon campus. The first Mu2e beam physics run is scheduled to begin in 2025. The LBNL Mu2e group leads the development of software and firmware for the Mu2e tracker, the experiment's central detector. We are also developing multi-variate machine learning algorithms for signal extraction. The successful candidate will assist with those efforts, as well as participate in the cosmic ray and beam commissioning of the detector. Salary: The monthly salary range for this position is $4,636 - $6,257 and is expected to start at $5,954 or above. Postdoctoral positions are paid on a step schedule per union contract and salaries will be predetermined based on postdoctoral step rates. Each step represents one full year of completed post-Ph.D. postdoctoral experience. Notes:
