SUMMARY The Temp HR Generalist is an entry level role into Renewal by Andersen's Business Partner family. This role will be a great opportunity to learn and develop the skills necessary to become an exceptional HR Business Partner. In this role, you will be responsible for providing business partnership to one of our Company Owned Retail Operations (COROs) and frequently engaging with Sr. HR partners and manager on projects and initiatives. The role is critical in executing our people initiatives to cultivate an innovative, high-performing, and inclusive culture as well as providing great internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement across the organization to ensure standards are aligned and being executed for all our retail management. This role will be evaluated to become a permanent position later in 2022. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: *Assist with internal promotions through creating offer letters, coordinating delivery of the promotional offer through DocuSign, and filing in the employee file *Administer exit interviews and analyze trending data; partner with HR and business leaders on retention efforts *Maintains employee files in compliance with records retention policy and applicable legal requirements *Partners with Renewal by Andersen (RbA) leadership and their direct leader to conduct regular leadership training sessions, to include but not limited to, performance management, conflict management, performance coaching/counseling, and employment law *Serve as a point of contact to guide employees on where to obtain information regarding their Benefits, Payrolling, PTO, and other requests *Assists employees with medical leave related questions and paperwork, coordinating with Corporate Disability Management Team *Assists employees and their leaders in the return-to-work administrative processes *Own termination communications, such as: COBRA notices, EDD Document, Department of Health Care notice, and filing the communication in the employee file *Own the administration of annual incentive plans; partner with business leaders in the development of the plans *Partner with the compensation team on a variety of employee pay audits; process appropriate changes within PeopleSoft *Lead development of standard operating procedures for various HR processes *Drive continuous improvement of job descriptions, including partnering with leaders to update existing descriptions, create new roles, and develop career pathing opportunity roles *Travel required up to 10-15%, to locations such as the Corporate Office in Cottage Grove, MN and other CORO locations for departmental meetings QUALIFICATIONS: *Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent combination of education and experience; Master's degree preferred *Experience in a progressive HR support or generalist role required *Highly motivated with ability to pro-actively provide support *Capable of independently managing multiple tasks/projects in a professional, efficient manner *Excellent customer service & follow-through skills *Strong collaborator and problem solver *Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications *Strong Written and Verbal Communications *Experience with HRIS & Payroll software or database software is a plus |
