Sales Director, Alternative Investment Funds

Investment Manager Services, a division of SEI, provides total operations outsourcing solutions to global investment managers and is a leading provider of accounting and administrative services to the investment management industry. Sales Director will focus on selling SEI's complete outsourcing services to investment managers. This position will be responsible for managing a sales process for our service offering, developing a pipeline, managing client relationships and providing input as to the future direction of our business in the this market.

What you'll do:

  • Execute on sales plan
  • Identify, qualify and pursue new business prospects
  • Generate proposals and quotes
  • Work with internal and external counterparts to close sales
  • Build and maintain credible relationships with prospects, clients and industry "Centers of Influence"
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of fund industry
  • Develop and support sales presentation and design
  • Create and manage sales pipeline
  • Analyze sales territory and provide strategic plan
  • Conduct competitor analysis
  • Maintain contact with all firms in database to uncover new opportunities
  • Participate in regular team sales meetings and training
  • Maintain and demonstrate understanding and knowledge of prospect's business needs and SEI's services and solutions
  • Coordinate and manage the RFP process
  • Attend industry conferences, seminars and trade shows

What you bring to the table:

  • BA / BS in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent professional experience. JD Preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the Financial Services industry.
  • Knowledge of investment management compliance matters.
  • Alternative Investment Product knowledge required.
  • Experience in managing sales process from lead generation to relationship management.
  • Experience with Miller Heiman or comparable strategic selling process a plus.
  • Adaptable to manage fast-paced, challenging sales environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Internet skills.
  • Extensive travel is required.
