System Engineer, Mid

Key Role:

Support DoD clients in the analysis of user's requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to validate and test system requirements. Guide users in formulating requirements, advise alternative approaches, conduct feasibility studies, and provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations, develop technical documentation, and develop system architecture and system design documentation. Guide system development and implementation planning through the assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans. Interact with the government regarding systems engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts. Maintain responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the systems engineering area of responsibility. Communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in system engineering

  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity policy, procedures, and best practices

  • Ability to update and maintain system engineering documentation

  • Ability to manage system requirements and derived requirements

  • Ability to contribute to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation

  • Ability to assist with the development of system requirements and functional requirements

  • Ability to coordinate the resolution of action items

  • Ability to define the methods, processes, and evaluation criteria by which the systems, subsystems, and work products are verified against their requirements in a written plan

  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in an ambiguous, fast-paced, highly collaborative, and team-oriented environment and balance long- and short-term tasks

  • Ability to exhibit flexibility, initiative, and innovation

  • Possession of excellent organizational skills

  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
