What to expect on this unit

4 South: This Med /Surg specialty unit has 30 beds. The unit treats patients from the age of infancy, up to those yet to transition to adult care. Patients treated include those with Diabetes, Cystic Fibrosis and Regional Nerve issues.

The acuity mix for this unit is higher than you would expect for most Med/Surg units.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse functions as a member of the healthcare team in a manner consistent with their scope of practice in Pennsylvania in concert with policies and procedures. The Nurse is responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation & documentation of care provided, and patient response to interventions.



Qualifications


  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse licensure or temporary practice permit.
  • RN within 6 months of graduation
  • CPR certification
  • Prior work experience suitable for the position is preferred.
