The Accounts Receivable Analyst will assist in all areas of Accounts Receivable and Customer Accounting activities (Cash Application, Reporting, Analysis, Etc.)

Position Responsibilities

  • Match a variety of payment types including checks, wires, and credit card payments to customer invoices
  • Review and reconcile AR aging - report to management for any issues
  • Review and reconcile credit balances
  • Ability to utilize systems to create and analyze ad hoc financial reporting
  • Assist in the effective and efficient month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes
  • Maintain and report on all relevant statistics for Accounts Receivable. This task may include the assembly of both routine and ad-hoc reports based on business needs.
  • Monitor and maintain the DSO of the organization.
  • Analysis and reporting of Accounts Receivable data and metrics to key stakeholders identifying areas of concern
  • Assist with any additional ad hoc reports/analysis as needed.
  • Perform all needed General Ledger Account Reconciliations
  • Help ensure compliance with all Accounting and Finance policies, practices, and procedures
  • Monitoring, tracking, and enforcing AR department policies and procedures, identifying inefficiencies, proposing, and documenting new concepts and procedures
  • Assist collection team in researching over payments and on-account payments
  • Participate in team planning meetings
  • Meet defined departmental goals and activity metrics
  • All other duties as assigned

Key Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Accounting and Accounts Receivable Process required
  • 3 years preferred. We will also consider someone with 0-3 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to work effectively with a variety of people in a team environment required
  • Must demonstrate initiative to solve issues independently, consistently, and professionally
  • Must be detail and goal oriented, possess strong organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills, particularly with Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook
  • Ability to work effectively and in cooperation with various departments
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and internal personal skills
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple tasks and effectively meet deadlines
  • Commitment to excellent customer service
  • Ability to produce timely, accurate, reliable, and relevant information
  • Experience with PeopleSoft and / or NetSuite ERP Systems a plus
