Job Description/Essential Functions:
Horizon House, Inc. is a nationally recognized provider of services to adults with support needs due to developmental disabilities, behavioral health issues, and substance abuse. Horizon House is Pennsylvania's oldest psychiatric rehabilitation agency. Since 1952, we have been dedicated to helping people with mental illness, drug and alcohol addictions, developmental/intellectual disabilities, and homelessness to stabilize their lives and to help them live as independently as possible in the community. With over 100 locations throughout South and North Eastern Pennsylvania and the state of Delaware, Horizon House provides services to a diverse population focusing on individual strength and choice.

We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Administrative Manager. The Administrative Manager coordinates and monitors non-clinical operations of Housing First Treatment Team programs. Other responsibilities include the following:

* Manage and direct administrative support functions for the department. Communicate and collaborate with case managers, supervisors and program staff; to provide optical services.

* Provide a wide array of skilled administrative support for the Directors.

* Provide supervision and direction to subordinate staff including training, monitoring, performance feedback and discipline. Encourages and initiates regular discussions with subordinates; compliments good performance; takes appropriate and timely action with marginal or failing performers. Promotes staff development by recommending training appropriate for employees' growth and improvement needs. Assign work duties to supervisees.

* Prepare materials for meetings, ensure equipment set-ups and orders are placed for catering when needed. Type minutes for designated meetings and email to Directors for review.

* Process purchase requisitions and check requests related to client welfare. Manage cleaning requests and make arrangements for moves.

Job Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will have High School diploma or GED equivalent with a minimum of four years of experience as a secretary/administrative assistant and at least one year of supervisory experience.

* Good communication skills.

* Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of the behavioral health systems and agency. Requires discretion, confidentiality and the need to ensure all communication is handled in a professional manner.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a focused team.

* Excellent organizational skills; must be detail oriented.

* Proficiency using Microsoft Office Programs: Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point and Publisher.

Scope:

* Frequent talking and listening.

* Requires the ability to lift 25 pounds, carry, fold, kneel, reach, stack, stoop and bend; which may include

* Direct intervention with participants.

* Must possess manual dexterity and fine motor skills.

* Must be able to interact with participants.

* May require crisis intervention in emergency situations.
