Staff Circuit Design Engineer 40307BR USA - California - Mountain View/Sunnyvale Job Description and Requirements The Embedded Memory Team is part of IP development team at Synopsys and is responsible for embedded SRAMs/ROMs development. The team provides both functional and physical views of memory in form of Memory compilers, a semiconductor intellectual property(IP) for the design of complex integrated circuits. The team is completely responsible for all aspects of memory development starting from Bit Cell Analysis, Architecture Design, Characterization, and release of products to the customers. This is a senior role in the embedded memory team and will be responsible for design and development of memory compilers. It requires the candidate to understand memory circuit design and key challenges at deep sub-micron nodes. The candidate will require work with the team in producing quality memory compilers, improving the current design, architecture and flows. The position also includes mentoring junior engineers Requirements: At least 15+ years in custom circuit design role Ability to collaborate with engineers towards execution Expertise in memory circuit design Exposure to variation aware circuit design and analysis techniques Exposure to high speed and low power memory design Exposure to memory compilers will be a huge plus Understanding of key design and layout challenges at smaller technology nodes Exposure to FINFET technology nodes will be a huge plus Strong problem-solving skills and teamwork Strong verbal and written communication skills The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $117,000 to $204,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
