What you'll be doing...

You will help to build the foundation that keeps us in front of the competition. The work you will be doing will deliver the core network infrastructure for new platforms, products and service deployments. We will look to you to meet critical deadlines for large multi-functional and enterprise-wide projects and solve the complex problems that the team may face along the way. Your role will be pivotal in coordinating project activities related to VCP Core and Webscale Core infrastructure. You will partner with network and product teams to provide a better experience to our Verizon customers.

• Developing end-to-end project plans to guide the implementation of network infrastructure.
• Balancing prioritization, timelines, and potential risk factors that may impact project success.
• Handling a wide variety of project teams passionate about different aspects of network infrastructure and keeping them on task to meet deadlines.
• Creating presentations and presenting to all levels of an organization.
• Directing the deployment of new product and service projects to ensure their integration and commercial success.
• Leading project update meetings for leadership and finding creative ways to problem solve.
• Driving results at all levels, regardless of reporting structures.
• Managing multiple simultaneous complex projects on time.
• Focusing on process and the customer experience.

Where you'll be working:
In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we're looking for...

As a Principal Project Manager, you are detail oriented, highly organized and able to thrive under the pressure of a deadline. For you, communication is a strength and giving presentations to provide clear status is something you excel at. You are the type of person who sees a problem and gets it fixed no matter what. You enjoy the challenge of working through complex, multi-functional issues towards a groundbreaking solution, while being able to negotiate effectively at all levels of the organization and influence decisions that yield the best results.

You'll need to have:

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant work experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% or less.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• A degree.
• Experience in managing large multi-functional or enterprise-wide projects.
• Experience with the Verizon Cloud Platform and/or network applications.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies applied to project management.
• A PMI or Project management certification.
