Department Description
The South 3 Adult Annex Unit is in operation 24 hours a day with 22 beds. North 3 Adult Annex Unit will provide care with 9 beds. The purpose of the South 3/North 3 Unit is to decompress the Emergency Department during times of high census in the ED. The South 3/North 3 Unit provides care to adult medical/surgical patients.
South 3/ North 3 is anticipated to close in 2024. When the unit closes staff hired will transfer to Patient Care Resources department into a float position on the assigned shift in their current position.

Responsibilities
This position is responsible for performing reception and clerical functions for the nursing station; coordinates patient care activities with other departments to include programming and answering call lights, arranging transport services for transporting patients to other areas of the hospital, ancillary services, stocking supplies and forms, doing audits, and functions related to admissions, transfers and discharges of patients.

Must be willing to work variable days including weekends.
May work occasional overtime to cover staffing shortages.
May float to different units as needed to cover emergency situations.
This position may be subject to a criminal background investigation, drug screen, Live Scan fingerprinting, medical evaluation clearance, and functional capacity assessment.
