DESCRIPTIONThe Alzheimer's Disease Cooperative Study (ADCS) is a growing, progressive, multi-center clinical trials consortium created to provide an operational framework for large scale Alzheimer's disease research projects and consists of 7 cores, 22 committees, 35 research sites that are members of the consortium/Steering Committee, and an additional 40 or more research sites located across the U.S. and Canada that participate in one or more trials coordinated by the ADCS. The ADCS is funded by federal and private grants, contracts, and gift support.The ADCS is a unique center (ARO) at UCSD, which collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to forward its mission to discover, develop, and test, new drugs to treat patients with AD. Annual funding for the ADCS grant is approximately $10 million, with additional funding through industry partnerships totaling over $30 million. Applies skills as a seasoned, experienced data / information management professional with full understanding of industry practices and campus / medical center / OP and department methodologies, policies and procedures to resolve complex and wide ranging issues where analyses of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Demonstrates competency in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions. Incumbent understands and translates business needs into data models supporting long-term solutions, including creating data archiving and management plans, ensuring the integrity of the data, and that data flows and stores are controlled, accurate, and consistent. Incumbent will identify the cloud infrastructure design to best optimize and support business growth; develop architecture blueprints and detailed documentation based on need assessment for data integration and curation methodologies, and work with leadership to implement them for the center. In addition, incumbent will set standards and create SOPs to improve the quality of data and develop a data curation and archiving plan for clinical trial data as well as legacy data and information systems data that adheres to regulatory requirements, HIPAA, CFR Part 11, and GCP. Other responsibilities include requirement gathering, prototyping, architecting tools and systems including APIs, web portals, databases, and virtual servers hosted Amazon Web Services (AWS). Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $63,400 - $142,800 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $30.36 - $68.39 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). |
