Engineer - Technology Applications Center (TAC) position is responsible for supporting the operation of the TAC infrastructure to fulfill the testing requirements of the AIC Modernization Action Plan (MAP). This also includes researching and proposing new technology solutions that AIC could implement to improve the electric distribution system of the future. Preferred work location is Champaign/Urbana IL area, however other central Illinois offices will be considered depending on the candidate selected. Key responsibilities include:
Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited college or university required. Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university preferred. Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification or Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration preferred. Engineering experience preferred. Experience or demonstrated knowledge with power inverters, energy storage (stationary) or similar power electronics is preferred. In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate: Good organization, decision-making, communication, and human relations skills; Ability to function well in a collaborative, team-building environment; Able to work under limited supervision; Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite; Ability to think strategically; and the following Ameren competencies: Think Customer, Inspire and Engage, Foster Innovation, Drive Results, Champion Learning, Build Trust, and Be Strategic. Additional Information: Ameren's selection process includes a series of interviews and may include a leadership assessment process. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates.
