Plant Electrician

Responsibilities:

• Background in commercial, industrial and residential wiring capable of working with electricity from 12 to 480 volts, AC DC and all electrical control symptoms.
• Installing & maintaining plant equipment to meet specifications & regulations.
• Repair & trouble shooting of electrical wiring, PLC's, controllers, lighting controls & electrical motors in a production environment.
• Update ARC Flash, prints/drawings, cabinets & breaker information as changes are being made.
• Maintain cost control over equipment & supplies for budget.
• Ensure that General Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), safety rules & regulations are being followed & enforced.
• Ability to work with outside vendors/contractors when necessary.
• Work in other areas of plant when directed by immediate supervisor or by supervisor in charge.
• Ability to work overtime during busy season or when directed by supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 2-year vocational electrical degree and/or previous experience in 480/3 phase.
• Good electrical mechanical repair & trouble shooting skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Willingness & ability to work & function in a team environment.
• Ability to follow all PPE standards and to climb ladders, twist, bend squat, kneel, crawl into awkward spaces, prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.; use proper lifting techniques, get help if more than 50lbs.
• Follow LO/TO procedures and Confined Space procedures as required.
• Attention to detail & accuracy.
