SUMMARY:

SNF Floquip, a subsidiary of SNF Holding Company, is currently seeking a Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Technician. The CAD Technician will be responsible for using CAD equipment to provide support to the Engineer by preparing Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, system arrangements including pipe routing, and detail drawings.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Responsible for the design of modular process skids and systems.
  • Works with engineers to develop, and manufacture a product.
  • Responsible for the full design cycle, from P&IDs and conceptual layouts through piping design and creation of fabrication drawings.
  • Analyzes and designs technical solutions that deliver the client's goal.
  • Create and revise manufacturing drawings.
  • Design of structural steel skids, frames, and platforms.
  • Design of fabricated and machined components and piping systems.
  • Takes field measurements or uses manufacturer cut sheets to produce necessary component drawings.
  • Communicates with engineering and manufacturing regarding new and revised prints.

Requirements
  • Associate's Degree or Certificate in drafting from two years of college or technical school, or equivalent experience.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in mechanical design or mechanical shop settings.
  • Understanding of common shop fabrication practices.
  • Knows materials, including pipe, fittings, and valves.
  • Knows how to read and interpret P&ID and General Arrangement drawings
  • Basic understanding of structural design and the interface between structural components and mechanical equipment and piping.
  • Experience in AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Experience in Autodesk Plant3D is a plus.
  • SolidWorks CSWP or CSWA preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
