Accounting & Financial Reporting Specialist - IAS

The Independent Advisor Solutions Unit (IAS) at SEI is growing rapidly and is seeking an Accounting and Financial Reporting Specialist to join the Business Management team. Our primary goal is to provide exceptional customer service and business management services to drive business decisions and grow the business. This includes working with the Business Management Team to perform the financial plan, budgeting, analysis and forecasting of projects, initiatives and daily business activities.

These responsibilities are to be carried out in a manner consistent with the vision, goals and policies of the unit. You will support and partner with the Directors and other unit personnel, SEI market units, SEI business management teams, and vendors to coordinate, facilitate and execute on the delivery of a cost-focused, efficient, standardized and consultative services to the respective teams.

SEI's IAS Unit currently works with over 7,500 Independent Advisors throughout the U.S and has approximately $81.6B in assets under management. The SEI IAS Unit is the premier provider of wealth management solutions to Independent Advisors. Uniquely positioned, SEI also provides advisors the benefit of our industry leading Practice Management Services to assist advisors in the growth and management of their business.

What you'll do:

The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • You will provide the financial planning, budgeting and forecasting for ongoing business activities and projects within IAS.
  • You will provide financial results measurement, analysis and reporting (i.e. monthly close process).
  • You will provide sales activity measurement, analysis and reporting.
  • You will employ your analytical skills by utilizing strategic data analysis aimed at identifying key metrics and trends driving sales activity within IAS.
  • You will be a strategic partner to the business teams and management to support profitability and growth.
  • You will be responsible for client and vendor contract management.
  • You will assist and act as a consultant to manage and minimize risk, provide solutions and proactively address business concerns.
  • You will use your interpersonal and communication skills to interact with other business units on various financial, regulatory and human resource related issues.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related subject area.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel and Word. Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a plus.
  • Problem solving skills.

Physical Demands and Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the work environment may require an individual to move around the office and from building to building which may expose the individual to weather conditions outside. The individual has to be able to sit or be stationary at a computer and use computers for extended periods of time and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The noise level in the environment is moderate and the individual must be able to communicate and exchange information with people in person and over the telephone and email
