The role is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies and tactics that support B2B and provider marketing for Optum at Home and other assigned businesses within Home and Community Care.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with experience creating new strategies. This person should be comfortable with collaborating and communicating across all levels of the organization to gain alignment and execute on agreed upon objectives.

Primary responsibilities:



  • Create and execute measurable comarketing campaigns and tactics that motivate desired provider or payer behavior in support of business KPIs
  • Help define key elements of the overall go-to-market strategy including but not limited to building value propositions, developing branding / positioning strategies, account-based marketing, target persona development, audience segmentation, content creation strategies, target modeling, journey mapping, full funnel management, media optimization, creative testing, marketing automation, CRM & data strategies, and lead management strategies
  • Partner with creative resources and operations to create revise and version campaign and materials content to drive key business outcomes
  • Work collaboratively: develop, manage, and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and keep them informed about campaign plans, status, and results
  • Support internal, competitive and industry research
  • Up to 5% travel - requires full vaccination


This is an individual contributor role reporting into the Sr. Director B2B Marketing, Care Services.

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years marketing experience
  • 3+ years in B2B marketing
  • Demonstrated expertise in utilizing B2B marketing to generate revenue and profitability
  • Experience in key B2B marketing approaches (e.g., account-based marketing, lead generation, thought leadership, etc.)
  • Experience working across channels (direct mail, digital / social, etc.)
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS office Products (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Ability to trave up to 5%

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience in WorkFront or Project Management Programs
  • Experience with Salesforce.com and marketing automation platforms
  • Experience with provider communications
  • Experience working with health plans
  • Healthcare or Financial Services marketing experience
  • Knowledge of Medicare and Special Needs Plans
  • Ability to be flexible and work with ambiguity
  • Ability to thrive in a performance-based marketing environment
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Exceptional organizational skills with ability to effectively prioritize and execute multiple projects
  • Solid written and oral communication skills

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
