SUMMARY

This job includes overall process and product quality responsibility. This may include our supplier base, test, manufacturing, sales floor, control test, exercising, pre-ship, deprocessing, customer fielding and service/warranty. Everyone is responsible for the level of quality, exceeding customer expectations, of the product. Quality Interns work with Quality department staff while exhibiting a professional and cooperative attitude.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Maintain a positive, professional working relationship with all customers.

2.Responsible for supporting Quality Department Staff.

3.Review and update quality documentation.

4.Actively participate in group and team meetings.

5.Communicate with suppliers and internal teams to correct and prevent quality issues.

6.Assist in problem solving and implementing solutions to quality related problems.

7.Assist staff with the disposition of defective material.

8.Participate in quality audits internally and externally.

9.Assist in supplier quality and process control.

10.Report and respond to quality process nonconformance issues in an expedient manner.

11.Work inter-functionally with Quality and Manufacturing to resolve quality related issues.

12.Must exhibit the ability to proactively complete assigned tasks.

13.Travel as required.

14.Must be willing to complete additional advanced training/educational courses as required.

15.Accurately maintain company records and documents in accordance with policies and procedures

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Student working toward a Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Operations Management/Business Administration, or a related field for entire duration of internship.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • GPA of 3.0 or greater

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
