THE ROLE: AV Project Engineer

Job Summary:

As a Project Engineer is responsible for the technical oversight and support of integrated AV projects.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review AV project SOWs (Scope of Work)
  • Review design documentation and work with Solution Architecture team to create programming narratives where required.
  • Facilitate the creation of RCPs/Elevation diagrams and final as built wiring diagrams
  • Provide guidance to installation teams on placement for all AV components using industry standard calculations.
  • Support remote commissioning and have technical oversight over commissioning standards and processes
  • Stay current on latest AV technology trends and vendors
  • Work with Project Management team to address field technical integration issues
  • Assist with troubleshooting integrated AV systems
  • Identify special project considerations, lifts, rigging, specialized mounts etc.
  • Provide engineering and DSP system programming support to project installation team when needed
  • Review field red-line drawings, finalize record drawing set
  • Travel to various job sites required on an as needed basis

Required Skills:

  • A thorough understanding of systems integration techniques
  • Understanding of basic IP networking
  • Effective communication skills
  • CAD application experience
  • Experience in the integration and commissioning of advanced AV systems
  • Experience with Collaboration platforms to include: MS Teams, Cisco WebEx, Zoom, Google Meet

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
  • Formal education in technology related field
  • 7+ years of experience required
  • Avixa CTS Preferred
