Overview

As a Project Manager for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in our Pittsburgh, PA Corporate office, you will be responsible for business development and client and project management, including the technical and financial management aspects of projects. The focus of this role is for upstream-, midstream-, and transmission-related design and permitting projects for the oil and gas industry. You'll develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand and help them to achieve their goals. You will also represent the company at conferences and in meetings to resolve project issues, plan and coordinate work, and negotiate contracts. You will work closely with other CEC professionals locally and across the country to develop opportunities and build business relationships, apply best practices to address client needs, conduct technical reviews of client deliverables, and mentor junior and mid-level staff in the proper planning, design, permitting, and execution of projects.



Qualifications

    7-10 years of relevant design and permitting experience (Oil and Gas industry preferred but not required).
  • BS/MS in engineering (civil or environmental), environmental science, or related degree.
  • P.E. preferred.
  • Civil design and permitting experience related to layout, grading, stormwater, and erosion and sediment control is a must.
  • Proven ability to develop business opportunities and contribute to new opportunities with upstream, midstream, and/or transmission operators.
  • Well established reputation and recognition in the Pittsburgh regional marketplace through relationships with environmental regulatory agencies and active engagement in trade organizations.
  • Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage a large, multi-discipline project. For example, a pipeline project that includes survey, environmental, geotechnical, and construction phase services.
