We at Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies run the business operations of Freudenberg Sealing Technologies (FST) in the Americas. Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies is a joint venture between Freudenberg and NOK Corp. in Japan, is headquartered in Plymouth, MI, operates more than 20 facilities and employs about 4,700 people across the Americas.
Automation Engineer
Responsibilities

  • Maintains and improves process capabilities using appropriate tools and applicable methodologies
  • Inputs and analyses numerical data to identify patterns and relationships that can be used to develop optimal workflows and processes
  • Reviews Key Performance Indicator (KPI) monitoring systems and uses technology to achieve goals
  • Drives and champions a continuous improvement culture
  • Supports New Product Introduction (NPI) activities to prepare products or processes for launch
  • Ensures that all local, legal and Freudenberg requirements regarding Health, Safety, and Environment are fulfilled
  • Supports the creation of training documents and delivers training
  • Mentors Apprentices and Technicians to increase individual and team understanding and capability

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Relevant Field; advanced degree preferred or compensating years of experience
  • 3+ years' of Industry-relevant professional experience
  • Relevant certifications, system experience, and training
  • Professional-Level English language skills preferred
