Senior CLS Specialist Supervisor, Specimen Processing

Responsibilities We are looking for an experienced CLS to supervise all activities of Phlebotomy and Specimen Processing in the Support Services area of the Clinical Laboratory. As the Senior CLS Specialist Supervisor, you will manage a team of phlebotomists and laboratory technicians. Primary duties include:

*Supervise daily operations of the lab, which includes technical issues regarding phlebotomy, specimen processing, send out testing, and referral lab reports
*Assist with developing and implementing performance standards to ensure optimal delivery of service that meet quality, cost efficiencies and customer service goals
*Participate in strategic planning, budget and productivity goals, staff personnel administration, purchasing, expenditure control, space utilization, building and equipment security and maintenance
*Participate in 24/7 on call rotation

Salary range: $115600.00-$155900.00 Annual

Qualifications *Current and valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) License
*At least four years licensed CLS experience
*Experience working in a high volume clinical laboratory
*Excellent communication skills with ability to convey complex technical protocols/procedures to personnel at all levels of the organization
*Skill in the following areas: pH testing on urine; quality control; perform phlebotomy on all age groups
*Skill in performance management
*Ability to develop, operationalize, and monitor budgets
*Flexibility to troubleshoot issues that arise outside of normal working hours
