Senior Analyst Marketing Database

Responsibilities

BASIC PURPOSE: Support the marketing database analytics team and work closely with key stakeholders across all three NCLH brands. Responsible for collecting business requirements and technical documentation related to marketing database development projects (e.g., CDP, Snowflake) and for reporting on data quality and business rules performance. Responsible for solving business problems with technical solutions and understanding best practices around high-level database design and data management.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead requirement gathering sessions with stakeholders from across the organization and relay the information to the marketing database and other technical teams.

Analyze and document current database and marketing campaign processes.

Proactively find ways to improve current marketing database workstreams.

Determine opportunities to automate processes and work with the relevant teams to see the projects through to completion.

Audit database processes to ensure they are set-up correctly and continue to run smoothly.

Use data visualization tools, like Tableau, to create dashboards to share database stats and campaign results with broader marketing teams.

Understand, communicate and reinforce business process concepts and methodology used within the IT, Sales and Marketing organizations.

Prioritize and communicate project enhancements and updates.

Write test cases and perform user acceptance testing (UAT).

Utilize tools such as JIRA and Confluence for project management, issue tracking and documentation of database processes.

Perform other job-related functions as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems or related field of study. Masters preferred; or any equivalent combination of relevant background and experience.

EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years of work experience in Database Management, Data Analysis, Data Visualization, and/or Marketing Analytics.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Highly analytical with strong problem solving and critical thinking skills. Passion for using data to solve complex business questions and drive business solutions. Strong SQL skills are essential. Experience with relational databases and data warehouses (i.e. Snowflake). Familiar with agile methodology. Strong project & stakeholder management skills. Data visualization & reporting background with platforms like Tableau, DOMO. Experience with ETL data processing. Familiarity with Salesforce Sales Cloud Solution.
