What you will be doing

As of August 24, 2021, AmerisourceBergen requires all U.S. team members to be fully vaccinated and show proof of completed vaccine prior to your first day of employment. The ideal candidate would work 3 days from home and 2 days in the office as needed. Possible office locations include: Orlando, Fl; Cincinnati, OH; Conshohocken, PA; Carrollton, TX and Dothan, AL.

Under general supervision of the Accounts Receivable Manager, responsible for posting cash and performing tasks requiring quick resolution of issues; includes providing account reconciliation, performing payment research.

  • Responsible for posting cash receipts to open accounts receivable
  • Identifies payment discrepancies, and initiates disputes resolution process to facilitate rapid turn around in collection effort; performs follow up procedures as needed
  • Performs in-depth customer payment analysis to properly record purchases as they relate to deposit accounts
  • Maintains frequent contact with internal and external customers in order to address all payment issues
  • Assists other corporate associates and the Regional AR Managers in their collection and/or reconciliation efforts for certain national and/or governmental accounts
  • Performs related duties as assigned
What your background should look like
  • Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a two-year associate degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Requires 2 to 4 years directly related and progressively responsible experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles
  • Familiarity with credit and collection operations procedures, including reconciliation of A/R activity
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Good negotiating skills
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Must have Advanced Excel skills: writing advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, V-lookups, etc.
