Position Summary

As a member of the Accounting Operations function and the broader Chief Accounting Office, the Senior Analyst - Accounting Operations plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy of Nestle's financial statements. The position will be assigned one or more operating companies in the U.S. market and have primary accounting operations responsibility for those assignments.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Be the Accounting Operations single point of contact for one or more U.S. operating companies
  • Oversee period end close (PEC) activities
  • Prepare complex journal entries and review those prepared by Nestle Business Services (NBS)
  • Ensure accuracy of balance sheet by reviewing the monthly booklet prepared by NBS
  • Prepare quarterly balance sheet report for management certification
  • Perform high level P&L review each month
  • Monitor cost center postings for accuracy
  • Approve intercompany billings related to assigned operating companies
  • Prepare tax reporting for rent, services, and transfer pricing
  • Safeguard internal control environment, including SAP role assignments and segregation of duties
  • Oversee periodic financial reporting prepared by NBS to ensure timeliness and accuracy
  • Coordinate financial audits
  • Drive special projects that enhance quality and efficiency through digital transformation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in general accounting and/or finance
  • Proficient user of SAP or similar ERP system
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Basic understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards
  • Ability and willingness to embrace change and deliver continuous process improvement

  • CPA preferred
  • Blackline software experience preferred
